Upcoming Purchase of Wamsutta Mobile Home Park Featured in Attleboro Sun Chronicle

News of the impending purchase of Wamsutta Mobile Home Park in North Attleboro, MA by the residents that live there has hit the press again.  Three months ago, the park was featured in a New York Times article that examined the new wave of manufactured housing communities that have been converting to resident ownership.  Now, the park is featured in the Attleboro Sun Chronicle.

CDI has been working with the residents of Wamsutta Mobile Home Park to complete the park purchase.  CDI will continue to provide training and technical assistance to the community after closing.

Boston Globe Op-Ed Features Resident-Owned Mobile Home Park in Boston

Check out this excellent Op-Ed in the Boston Globe featuring Boston Trailer Park and its new owners, the Boston Trailer Park Tenants Association.  The author, Lawrence Harmon, discusses the importance of preserving this highly affordable form of housing stock throughout the state and combating the stigma of living in a "trailer park".  


The recent purchase of Boston Trailer Park by the residents living there was financed in part by the Cooperative Fund of New England (CFNE)CDI has also provided business training and has pledged long term support of the association as a part of it New England Resident Owned Communities (NEROC) initiative.
